LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Boston Uprising announced today that Nam-Ju “Striker” Gwon has been traded to the San Francisco Shock.
Gwon competed with the Uprising throughout the Overwatch League’s inaugural season as a DPS player. The South Korean native originally joined Boston after playing for the ROX Orcas in Overwatch APEX.
“We want to thank Nam-Ju Striker Gwon for all of his hard work and contributions to the Uprising during his time here,” said Chris “HuK” Loranger, President of Gaming for The Kraft Group. “We wish Striker the best of luck with the San Francisco Shock.”
Following the trade, the Uprising now have eight players signed to the roster. The 2019 season will begin on Feb. 14 at Blizzard Area in Los Angeles.
