LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Boston Uprising announced today that they have signed Jordan “Gunba” Graham as an assistant coach. Gunba coached Team Australia in the 2018 Overwatch World Cup and joined the Overwatch League as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Valiant during the 2018 season.
Gunba was part of the Valiant team that made the league semifinals before losing to eventual champion the London Spitfire. Los Angeles finished the year second in the league with a 27-13 record and won the Stage Four playoffs. Following the season, Gunba was selected as head coach for Team Australia and he led the team to a 3-2 match record and a qualifying spot for the World Cup Playoffs taking place at Blizzcon in early November.
“We are excited to add Gunba to our coaching staff,” said Chris “HuK” Loranger, President of Gaming for The Kraft Group. “He adds great experience at both the Overwatch League and international level. As a team that introduced and prides itself on being 'coachable', we look forward to having him as a part of the Uprising.”
